Hey there Mr Ryan!
Its been far too long, hows things back home?? Wat’ve u and all the others been up to?? Howd exams go??
Things over here are going awesome, having so much fun. Just left the Croatian Islands where the water is as blue as ure eyes and the sea urchins are as black as ure hair ha ha. But seriously it was just like paradise, like 32 degrees and sunny as hell everyday. We hired scooters one day and just went hooning round the mountains looking for little beaches etc.
Have I ever hated Australia even more?! No joke, over 50% of my friends are overseas at the moment. About 20% of them went on GAP years at the start of the year (mostly in England), a couple of them went to Canada to be ski instructors and continued traveling after the season finished, some are interstate in other universities, and the rest have left for Europe or America in the last few months to go traveling just for shits and giggles. That email excerpt was from one of my best mates - and I have never had such a bitter look on my face.
What was I thinking when I did said “no, not going to travel! Going to start my degree and get it over and done with! I’m the smart one!”. To make the situation worse, another friend who left on Monday is meeting up with that mate, a couple of other guys I went to school with, and the girl I was seeing before she left in January and a whole bunch of her friends for a week in a little villa in Spain.
Australia sucks. Bronnie - it’s time for us to finally have that drink. Does a little house in the south of France suit you?

My hosting account with Site5 is on their ‘orestes‘ server, and it has experience so much downtime over the last month or two - and I’m very unimpressed. It’s hardly the 99.9% uptime that they advertise, and as for their knowledgeable technical support team - I really beg to differ.
After telling them (at length) about how dissatisfied I was with the service I was getting and that I was not really getting any value for money, I requested to be moved to another server (such as the one which has over 550+ days of uptime). My response, although fast, was pathetic:
Unfortunately we are unable to move you to another server at this time as all moves are suspended during our migration to the planet.
Yeah, thanks for your help. Thanks for the apology. Thanks for the percentage refund due to the downtime I’ve experienced. I feel it should be offered, but alas, I’ve had to request it: great customer service!
I know there are many people out there who rave about Site5, their fantastic support and all they have to offer. I really am not happy right now, particularly when I read articles like Nan’s: Site5 deleted a whole bunch of her database entries.
I’ve been with so many hosting companies over the last couple of years. AN Hosting, otherwise known as MidPhase Hosting, has still been by far the best. Regretting the move, and kind of questioning why I ever left!
EDIT: Just got a response from a rep called Jessica who was really nice and gave me the response I was after. She gave me a credit, and although I don’t plan to use it, she was sincere, apologetic and polite: all I expected! Considering AN again and Nellie’s suggestion of buyback with Holdfire!

I cannot stand school students on trains. They don’t move fully into the carriages. They push each other. They don’t stand up for old ladies with diabetes. They have shocking body odour. They make way too much noise. They find it hillarious to scream “come back to bed!” as soon as anyone answers a phone. They have their music blaring through their earphones at a level which means I can hear their music more clearly than my own. They leave shit all over the floor. The boys talk about their pubes, whether their balls have dropped and who they’d rather fuck. The girls hike up their skirts looking like lower class hookers, giggle about handsome teachers and talk about who they’d rather fuck. They run through the carriages. They leave the inter-connecting doors open so they bash for the whole train trip. They find it hilarious to speak along with the announcements (it isn’t). They leave their bags and congregate in the most inappropriate places. They fart and laugh about it (which is only funny when I do it, not them). They write ‘cunt‘ everywhere for a purpose I’m still unsure of. I want to kill them all. They ruin my afternoons.

I know I’m not usually one for serious posts, but a recent thread over at Snark got me going about organ donation. I was suprised to see how many people are not organ donors because it weirds them out.
A lot of people, my friends and mum included, argue that if it’s your body it’s your choice not to donate; but in all honesty, I think it’s completely selfish not to. If you’re dead, what good are your organs going to do you? And I’m pretty sure that if you’re dead and someone takes out your liver, you won’t be ‘grossed out’. If you’re body parts are no longer required, doesn’t it make sense to help save the life of someone else?
And then you’ve got your people who are only half-selfish and say “I’ll donate, this, and that.. but not my skin and my eyes - that’s just fucked!”. Our bodies are just going to rot away in the ground or be cremated anyway, I don’t see how saving or improving someone’s life is worse than that.
Who donates? And what’s your opinion on it all? I know there will be arguments if I die before my parents. My mum doesn’t like the idea, but my dad knows I feel strongly about it. I wish my signature was the final decision, but unfortunately your next of kin make that choice in the end (in Australia anyway).
